Scientific Support Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Gather experiment information from customers and internal teams.
  • Compile systems’ data to complete data analysis of both internal and external experiments
  • Provide comprehensive analysis and reports to internal teams and customers
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Software, and Applications departments to investigate unexpected results from internal and external sources to help determine root cause
  • Provide technical expertise for protocol and product development as well as continuous improvement of internal and external processes
  • Provide updates to FAS, In-Process QC, and Applications groups upon the implementation of process improvements
  • Provide feedback and experiment recommendations to customers and FAS Team with regards to analysis of IsoLight or IsoSpark runs
  • Utilize PLM (Arena, Product Life Cycle Management System), Salesforce.com, and Smartsheet to properly document all cases, changes, and improvements
  • Assist with the investigation, creation, and development of protocols, experiments and/or technologies
  • Execute assigned tasks following appropriate laboratory/technical procedures under minimal supervision

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field with 1 to 3 years of industry experience
  • Experience with protein analysis assays (ELISPOT, ELISA, flow cytometry, etc.)
  • Demonstrated abilities of independent troubleshooting of assays and experiments
  • Desire to work independently and in a highly entrepreneurial environment, exercise creativity and judgment in bench work and analysis
  • Must be detail-oriented with good organization and excellent time management skills
  • Willingness to take on multiple responsibilities and work in a small team environment
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills to gather and impart knowledge
